MY FAMILY’S CHRISTMAS TRADITIONS
Like most families we love our traditions at this time of year. Sadly it’s the first year neither of my children believe in Santa, (although now we’re only a few days away from Christmas Max has suddenly decided he does again. I think he’s panicking he won’t get any presents if he says he doesn’t believe anymore!!! ) but we’ll still do things just the same & it will still be just as special.
Christmas for me starts just a little bit in October as that’s when I make my Christmas cake and feed it with brandy up to Christmas! I also start my gift buying in October to be as organised as possible but there’s still always a rush for a few bits up to a few days before like everyone else.

TWO WEEK CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN
There’s so much to do leading up to the big day. Stay on track by having a two week Christmas countdown schedule and ticking off your list as the jobs get done.
Make or finalise your full grocery shopping list. Don’t forget to include loo rolls and other necessities such as batteries, cello tape etc. Remember not to go crazy with every day food though as the shops are only closed for one day & the wastage at Christmas time is huge.
If you haven’t already done so, book your online shopping delivery slot. If you prefer to shop in store pick up a few non perishables and drinks now to make it a bit easier on your big Christmas shop.
