MY TRAVEL BUCKET LIST & COUNTRIES I’VE BEEN LUCKY ENOUGH TO VISIT IN MY LIFE SO FAR

This is more of a personal list for me than a blog post but I love to travel so much I wanted to post it. During my time working as a professional dancer I was extremely fortunate to travel the world extensively whilst doing what I love & getting paid for the pleasure. I have visited places most people only dream of and, as dancers we had passenger status, so I enjoyed all the luxurious trappings of Cruise ship life too. Looking at my sons world map the other day I decided to make a list of all the fabulous places I’ve seen and experienced. The list is quite extensive but I still have many many places I want to visit. I want my children to travel the world and see some of…

Let me introduce you to a special girl. Her name is Isabelle Daisy & I’m very proud to be her mum!  Isabelle is the ‘Belle in Me & My Belle’ & I adore her. She’s funny, beautiful, passionate, sensitive, happy, thoughtful, clever & talented with the kindest soul I know.

Isabelle has always been interested in filming and loves all things fashion, beauty & lifestyle. After making a few home videos and enjoying the filming, editing process & also being more than confident on camera, she decided a few months ago to start her own YouTube channel.

Like many girls her age she loves watching various Youtubers and decided she wanted to be part of the action herself. IMG_7436

She’s still in the early stages of her channel but has started to produce some good videos including a 50 day blog challenge over the summer which was no easy…

I love to make people happy and enjoy the giving of a gift more than to receive one. But sometimes it’s the little every day things that can really make someone’s day and make them feel happy. No matter how busy you are sometimes doing one of the following things is a much bigger and better achievement than something big at work.

  1. Give someone flowersIMG_7526

  1. Pay someone a compliment

  1. Give up your seat on the train

  1. Buy a meal for a homeless person

  1. Take time to really listen to someone

  1. Serve in a homeless shelter

  1. Donate unwanted clothes and other belongings to a charity shop

  1. Help an elderly person with their grocery shopping

  1. Shovel a neighbours drive when it snows

  1. Organise a fundraiser

  1. Call or message someone for no other reason than to ask how they are

THE IMPORTANCE OF A SMILE

THE IMPORTANCE OF A SMILE

IMG_7435

Several years ago I was in a restaurant with my mum. While I paid the bill, we both noticed an elderly woman waiting to be seated. As we left the restaurant, Mum asked, “Did you notice that woman with the wonderful smile?” I most certainly did. Her smile lit up the room. It was a smile to die for_one that would certainly win instant friends. It was a smile that you don’t often see in a stranger. And maybe Mum and I smiled back, I don’t remember. Mum later commented, “I wish I’d told her what a terrific smile she had.” But neither of us had. We’d both received a gift without saying thank-you.

Later, on my long drive home, I stopped at a fast-food restaurant for a quick bite. A 70ish woman waited by the condiment bar while her husband ordered. She glanced my…
